    Thomas O. Lawson is a long-time resident of Fairfax, Virginia and graduated from Fairfax High School. He was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 1959 and has served on the governing body of the Virginia State Bar. He was also admitted into the Georgia State Bar in 2004. He has served as the Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for Fairfax County, and as a substitute District Court Judge.

    Mr. Lawson's practice focuses on municipal law, insurance defense, employment law, planning, land use, and zoning. He has successfully represented clients in these areas in the Virginia Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He currently serves as counsel for the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority.

    Mr. Lawson additionally serves as a Neutral Case Evaluator and a Commissioner in Chancery for the Fairfax County Circuit Court. He also serves as a director in several corporations, and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Fairfax Symphony for fifteen years and served as its president from 1996-98.
